  • Vacuum carpets daily.
  • Make sure you use a powerful vacuum with a strong beater bar (the
    brush underneath). Keep its bag emptied regularly for best results.
  • Sweep hard floors daily and mop weekly.
  • Position area rugs near outside doors to take the initial beating of
    outside soils and traffic.
  • Position a shoe rack where the family can easily use it.
  • Try to control pet traffic or landscape accordingly to minimize soil
    pickup.
  • Spot clean with a safe, neutral product (like our Home Pro Spotter)
    only. Make sure to completely rinse out any residue and blot dry with
    towels. Never use bleaches or other household cleaning products as
    their concentrated form can be permanently harmful and impossible
    to fully rinse from the carpet.
  • Carpets should be professionally cleaned at least once a year. If you
    have any of these factors (pets, children or smoking), increase to at
    least once every 6 months.
  • Using carpet protection (like our Teflon by DuPont) can extend the
    stain and soil resiting power of you carpet between cleanings.
